| SSBA and the Scottish Police joined
forces recently to run a poster competition for P5, 6 and
7 pupils. The pupils were asked to produce a poster
depicting "alternative to crime" ideas. The poster winners attended the SSBA 10th Anniversary international conference held in Dumfries in November 2001 where they received their prizes from David Graham, pop star and Chief Constable David Strang from Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary. The poster will now be distributed throughout Scotland with the help of the Scottish Executives Crime Prevention Unit. Judged by Gerald McGill, Farries Kirk and McVean, Colin Brett, Dumfries and Galloway Council Education Department and Wilma Millar, Chair of Loreburn Primary School Board the winner are as follows: |
