Enquire is the Scottish advice and information service for additional support for learning.  They provide information to families of children who need - or may need - extra help with their learning.

We at SPCA are happy to help them with the distribution of their information, thus making Parent Councils aware of the service they provide.

The SCQF Partnership will very shortly open a consultation on the referencing of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) to the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF). Careers Scotland's Parents Strategy group -  a national group which aims to:

• enable parents/carers to engage effectively as intermediaries in career planning
• establish appropriate stakeholder links with parents/carers' organisations at national and local level.

In respect of the first aim we have recently produced an information leaflet for parents, guardians and carers - see attached.  I would be most grateful if you could raise awareness of the availability of this leaflet in your communications to members.  Copies are available in local Careers Scotland centres.  The leaflet has been translated into 9 languages: Arabic; Chinese; French; Bengali; Gaelic; Hindi; Somali; Urdu and Punjabi and these translated versions are available on our website:www.careers-scotland.org.uk/parents
